Tomorrow, starting at 11 am Pacific, about 100,000 people will gather at State Farm Stadium in Glendale, Arizona, for a memorial service for Charlie Kirk. They will celebrate a remarkable life tragically cut short September 10 when a 22-year-old man radicalized by leftist ideology assassinated the Turning Point USA co-founder, entrepreneur and conservative media star.
Across America and around the world on television and through the Internet, the audience for Charlie Kirk’s memorial will be massive.
“Turning Point USA” was aptly named by Charlie when he founded the organization in 2012 at the age of 18, starting from his parents’ garage in suburban Chicago after he dropped out early from college.
Thirteen years later, in September 2025, another turning point – and it may change the world – as we explain further below.
Charlie was a champion of the conservative cause who poured his life into building a movement rooted in faith, freedom, and love of country.
He was the embodiment of courage in the face of persecution from the radical left.
“Charlie Kirk believed in the power of persuasion over coercion. He believed in conversation over cancellation. He was proof that 1 person with conviction can inspire a massive movement. His debates on campus weren’t just about scoring points – they were about showing that truth can stand up to scrutiny. He showed young men and women that it’s possible to be bold, articulate, and respectful – even when surrounded by hostility in schools spreading leftist propaganda and indoctrination.”
More than anything, though – more than politics, more than debate, more than the movement he built – Charlie Kirk loved Jesus. He made it clear over and over again, “It’s all about Jesus!” Those weren’t just words or a slogan. Jesus was the centre of his life – his love for Christ defined him, fueled him, and gave shape to everything else.
And that is what we must remember as we mourn his loss: Charlie’s life pointed to something bigger than himself. Evil celebrated his death, as we’ve seen in recent days in the United States and Canada, but Charlie pointed to the One who defeated evil once and for all.
God has a unique way of working through suffering and evil to bring about His purposes and ultimate good. Jesus’ death on the cross is the greatest example – He rose from the dead on the 3rd day in the greatest victory mankind has ever witnessed, allowing for our salvation.
Charlie Kirk’s death, as gruesome as it was, will not be in vain. God is already raising up the Turning Point USA movement in almost unimaginable ways, and the impact on the youth of America – and elsewhere – will be profound. Charlie’s message will resonate like never before across college campuses and throughout the nation. The assassin, with his twisted mind, imagined he was “cancelling” Charlie Kirk and harming the movement, when in actual fact the opposite has occurred – kind of like when Satan thought he had triumphed over Jesus.
Requests for new high school and college chapters have topped 60,000 in the days since Charlie’s assassination, laying the groundwork for exponential growth in Turning Point USA.
Rest assured, God will raise up many more Charlie Kirks in the days, weeks, months and years to come.
One of Charlie’s favorite Bible verses: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to His purpose.” (Romans 8:28).
