BMR Morning Market Musings…

Gold is headed for its 4th straight weekly decline, though it has managed to hold slightly above multi-year lows…bullion has traded between $1,079 and $1,090 so far today…as of 9:15 am Pacific, the yellow metal is down $3 an ounce at $1,082…Silver is off 4 cents at $14.27…Copper is flat at $2.19…Crude Oil has slipped another 85 cents to $40.90 while the U.S. Dollar Index is up two-thirds of a point to 99.17

Holdings of the world’s largest Gold-backed ETF, SPDR Gold Shares, fell by another 1.5 tonnes yesterday…the fund has seen outflows of more than 30 tonnes this month, the first monthly decline in its holdings since July…

HSBC says that Platinum group metals are “fundamentally oversold” but nevertheless cautions that they could go lower yet before recovering…ongoing investor liquidation continues, much of it from PGM-exchange-traded funds, HSBC says…Platinum is down to levels not seen since the near implosion in the global auto industry (which uses PGMs in catalytic converters) in 2008…holdings of Platinum ETFs are at a 2-year low, while assets of Palladium funds are at their lowest since April 2014

Only a substantial rise in Chinese metals demand is likely to be sufficient to balance Copper and Aluminum markets, according to Goldman Sachs, which said recent output cut by miners aren’t large enough to rescue prices.  “While recent supply cuts in Copper and Aluminum may appear to bring the markets closer to balance, the cuts in our view are not sufficient to do so,” analysts stated in a report circulated today.  “It is our view that the supply cuts confirm the bear case for these metals.”

Crude Oil Update

Record global Oil stockpiles could offer an “unprecedented buffer” in times of geopolitical shock, the International Energy Agency (IEA) said this morning as it forecast demand growth would slow next year, worsening the glut.  “Stockpiles of Oil at a record 3 billion barrels are providing world markets with a degree of comfort. This massive cushion has inflated even as the global Oil market adjusts to $50 Oil,” the agency noted in its November report released this morning…

  1. Anyone familiar with the “gold and oil guy”, The host had an analyst on the other day. Its on youtube. He talked about the U.S. dollar taking off upward on a serious surge higher, which in turn will drop the Canadian dollar much lower causing things in Canada coming from the U.S. to be very expensive. He mentioned that the metals will have a heavy spike downward before the bear market ends. He said that gold could drop to 830. Of coarse, this is one mans opinion.

  2. Dave , if the g&o guy predictions come to be as I’m also thinking ,all commodities will come under pressure , with it seems copper being one the last hold outs to bottom , copper has support @ 1.50 . We could see commodities and precious metals making an end to their bear market March 2016. In the mean time as it has been pointed out on this bb a great discovery story would still have huge potential. Good luck to all.

  3. Looks like GGI is cooling a bit after their nice run , but DBV has a massive 255,000 bid @ .135 , indicating there are buyers out there.
I’m thinking DBV news over the weekend.

  4. Speaking strictly from a Canadian perspective, if the CDN$ drops dramtically compared to the US$, it will offset the decline in metal prices which are priced in USS currency. Having a mine in Canada has its economic advantages these days! Having said that the faster we see a bottom, the faster we can start feeling positive again.

  5. Dave- Just a thought but I think the odds of EQT drilling results coming out the day before those warrants become free trading is pretty high. hmmmm.

  7. Hi team. Remember when I brought LTE.C to this board at .75 a few weeks back. Today we are @ $1.15. This is just getting started. Under 30M shares out. Dozens of contracts coming short term. Their last one was for 7M! LTE.C do your quick DD

  8. DBR – I agree with ya, but will they be exercised at this price???? We will have to wait and see how it pans out. My opinion is they would rather exercise them at a higher price.

    Comment by dave — November 13, 2015 @ 10:51 am

  9. Les- DBV- I have been buying the last few days….just bought twice today…..just sold some of my EQT for more. Also sold my GGI yesterday and my spouses GGI today for more DBV…….lol.

Anyone guess which stock I like the most and expect to profit from soon? In 2016 the Sheslay Valley Millionaire Club will be stood up…..the question is who will be joining me? If people play their cards right there should be a few members!

  11. DDD4, I won’t be able to join your SVM club unless DBV hits approx $3.50 per share. Thats a long way from these levels but I certainly wouldn’t complain..LOL

    Comment by Jamie — November 13, 2015 @ 11:00 am

  12. Sorry, spelled his name wrong.

DDD4 – good call on DBV, its doing well. Sold my GGI yesterday too for a triple. I will wait for assays, if they are spectacular there will be more time to make money on GGI.

I took a position in PHM today at .425

  16. Any word Guy or Jon on drilling by WRR? This has gone on so long it is ridiculous. I bought the stock back in March or so when it was being profiled regularly here. I bought at.045 so am not a happy camper.

    Comment by Hugh — November 13, 2015 @ 12:04 pm

  17. Sameer- there is a high probability that they go back up next week to drill……just waiting on one final piece of the puzzle before going up…..

    Comment by DDD4 — November 13, 2015 @ 12:08 pm

  18. Jamie- no worries. Hold on during the volatile times ahead and I think there’s a good possibility that you will join me in late 2016 if the ball starts moving and there isn’t too many breaks from drilling.

I do think DBV has a very good chance of becoming the next Red Chris…actually its probably bigger….drilling will tell us soon.

  19. Dave PHM has been getting crushed the last couple months, do you think it is bottoming out?

    Comment by Sameer — November 13, 2015 @ 12:12 pm

  20. I kinda feel like Jon on this…that your really taking a chance selling in and out of GGI. We all have to set our sell points but we are on the cusp of a possible discovery here. Not just waiting for assays but getting several positive updates on the drill program. Only assays will tell but if they are into a high grade gold system…and that is an “if”…you won’t be buying back in at these levels.
But DBV or GGI we are both in awesome positions….I just wouldn’t be selling completely out of GGI.

    Comment by weatheritout — November 13, 2015 @ 12:13 pm

  21. Dave- that is interesting, but I think if it had anything
to do with EQT we would also be Halted ……….

    Comment by Bob — November 13, 2015 @ 12:18 pm

  22. Dave- smart move in selling GGI during this short lived run. Like I said, it wouldn’t hold on to its gains and I don’t like how it’s been trading the last few weeks…..its not trading like a stock that people are buying to hold. Right now its all speculation based on very small sections of core…..its unfortunate they aren’t showing us the rest of it of carrot…..I wonder why? I think I know and my sources (geos) aren’t convinced yet. They could be filled with high Copper and Gold but since its not visible who knows…..the lab will tell us. The core pics aren’t as revealing as DBV’s were. I will wait for confirmation of the grades before putting my hard earned money into it as I’m not yet fully convinced but there’s no doubt about it the potential is there! The way it trades there will be good opportunities to buy it post drilling results before its moves up too much.

Nice bounce on bottom for PHM. I would have bought DBV instead but as you know I’m very biased towards it…lol. When are you going to buy DBV back?

    Comment by DDD4 — November 13, 2015 @ 12:25 pm

  25. assays should be back from GGI before the drill turns at DBV, which should see them get 4 + holes in before the Christmas break, but I’m guessing tight for results before Christmas, other than XRF guess

    Comment by david — November 13, 2015 @ 12:51 pm

  26. Jamie , add $10 to your $3.50 as DBV has the capabilities to produce 1 billion tons of mineable ore making the Hat huge as compared to Red Chris..

    Comment by Sameer — November 13, 2015 @ 1:08 pm

  28. DDD4 – what part of GGI has been trading oddly? Seems to be doing well in my eyes for the last few weeks. Wasn’t much volume today and it seems like it was shares of Dave and yourself that were being sold.

  32. GGI – here’s hoping for next week, but I’m guessing the week after. DBV news on Monday about the resumption, but it will be a wk+ to get it pulled together to do the 4 1/2 holes , so the ToBeAnnounced drilling results are a few weeks out.

  36. Sameer- $$$$. There won’t be a PP though as Farshad is frugal and minimizes dilution unlike some CEOs in this sector! There are a lot of options & warrants that can be exercised and this would provide plenty of cash to start drilling until a PP can be done at much higher prices.

  37. George Charocopos- it trades like a stock with a high float and seems to need to churn through a lot of stock before it moves up. The last 6 weeks it consolidated very well but every time it tried to break through the trading range it was met with a steady flow of new stock for sale. With all the pictures, the update, BMR promoting it and speculation it couldn’t break through until someone decided to buy a big position in it. Yes, this is a tough market and it wants to see the goods but there still is some speculation in the sector (EQT is the most recent example). Look at today, after finally breaking through major resistance there was no follow through and it seems to want to be pulled back into that trading range again which I hope doesn’t happen. I don’t want to turn this in a GGI vs DBV discussion but when one has the choice between 2 different Sheslay plays one needs to decide how to best play them to their advantage based on one’s goals……mine being retirement at a young age to enjoy life while in good health. I see DBV moving up with a lot less resistance due to a lower float. Both DBV and GGI will help light up the Sheslay like a Christmas tree like Jon says but one is more advanced in the discovery and based on my DD it has the goods which we will see shortly when drilling resumes. DBV is coiled for a run with this dreaded chapter coming to an end and an exciting one to begin so I prefer being in the one that will provide quicker profits and will move up more freely without having to churn through a lot of stock……it also boils down to how I feel between both…..life is short….my money goes where it will make the most money in the shortest time…..and in one that has the best odds of being life changing.

    Comment by DDD4 — November 13, 2015 @ 4:08 pm

  38. Some criticize my trading style as being too aggressive and not smart. Well, I have a lot of experience doing the all eggs in one basket and my batting average so far is 100% in identifying 10 to 44 bangers. I only go all in when I know the odds are extremely high and I do a lot of DD (it never stops) and includes getting the opinions of some top porphyry geos (one of which was part of the team that discovered the Grasberg Mine). For the record….I have NEVER spoken to anyone that works for DBV…….I learned my lesson on this a long time ago. To me, CEOs and like used car salemans imo. They will all make things sound rosy and will try to convince you that their company is the best out there and there is blue sky potential! By staying away from these guys I remain neutral, unbiased and not “brain washable”……also by not personally getting close to them its much easier for me to criticize their actions and take a devils advocate stance.

For those that are in DBV, well I’m now ALL IN so if I’m right once again then you’re in the right stock for possibly life changing experience (assuming you own enough shares).

The Chris Day Saga is now coming to an end and Dr Razique will do what he was born to do……they’re just on the verge of a major discovery and all signs are pointing to it.

    Comment by DDD4 — November 13, 2015 @ 4:13 pm

  39. For the record…..you will still see me post about EQT and WRR as I indirectly own some through my spouses TFSA but no worries, most of her portfolio is in DBV to take advantage of what’s to come if I’m right.

    Comment by DDD4 — November 13, 2015 @ 4:49 pm

  40. George, I sold GGI yesterday, not today. Also, yes it may be much higher when assays come out and you don’t get it at this price , but like I said before. I would rather miss a move up and buy higher knowing its going to keep going than have a sell on the news and lose some of what I had. A triple is a triple, in this market especially at tax loss selling season, you play it smart. Same thing with EQT, I have a very very small position left.

To the one that mentioned about PHM getting creamed, yes it has. I bought just for a quick trade off the double bottom, I probably will sell soon. there are few stocks out there to hold long term or worse yet “marry”.

DDD4 – no, haven’t bought DBV yet. I have “iffy” feelings on that one. I favor GGI over DBV right now and if GGI hits and I see a strong up movement I will be back in it.

This time of the year I am very disciplined about not staying in a stock mid-term. I like to trade off of news releases that are good and can off set the tax loss selling or warrants.

A few that I know of with news coming are WLF (any day), GGI, EQT, and DVR on Monday could do very well off that news. PE is another with more news coming.

Samear – PHM did a double bottom and has struggled to dip below .40, as long as it doesn’t the bottom is in tact there. PE, also a double bottom, but if it breaks below .50, then it is broken and going lower.

    Comment by dave — November 13, 2015 @ 4:52 pm

  41. By the way, those big bids on EQT only held at .10 and not both .105 and .10 – however .09 is extremely strong support. Some of the TA is starting to turn positive and I see some divergences in there. Simply put, It probably is at bottom unless the news is not good. Also, DDD4 you may be right with assays a couple weeks away. It is one to keep your eye on for further up movement from the current chart pattern, and yes I will buy more if the situation warrants it.

    Comment by dave — November 13, 2015 @ 4:56 pm

  42. Dave why the “iffy” feeling on Dbv?

    Comment by Sameer — November 13, 2015 @ 5:23 pm

  43. Oh, I forgot to mention my favorite quote by Warren Buffett. “Its not what to buy, but rather when to buy it”. I love that saying. I am not advocating that anyone on this board buy PHM, I am simply saying why I did. One of the things I learned years ago about TA is the double bottom and when it is a solid one. When you have a stock that hits a bottom and closes under the lower bollinger band, then does a little breakout as PHM did, then comes back to that bottom level, BUT does not close below the bottom bollinger band, but rather is between the 2 bands, it’s almost a 100% chance not to fail and a breakout will occur a short time after. It may go up and down a little and roll between .45 and .55 for a few weeks, but eventually it breaks out. Tax loss season could be in early on this one, we shall see. On the flip side, if it is that rare few percent of the times it fails, then it will drop below .40 and you know to exit with a minimal loss.I still bought it just for a trade though, but who knows, I may decide to hold it depending on its behavior.

    Comment by dave — November 13, 2015 @ 5:34 pm

  44. Sameer – DBV, The long term chart pattern. It has had a hard time getting back to that .40 mark even with all those holes that they hit on. Call it a gut feeling and I don’t mean for DDD4 to get upset with me. I am just one person here and I will always hope that anyone in DBV does very well. I personally, think GGI has the goods and in time (I will buy then) it will push past that .30 mark. DBV had trouble all year to break to .19 and it struggled. GGI is the new kid on the block with the Tootsie pop suckers that every other kid wants. I have also talked with a Geo, but i have to be reserved on this and can’t comment.

  46. Unbelievable stuff going on in Paris concerned citizen. Here in the U.S., its not safe to go to school anymore. Makes ya wonder what tomorrow brings. You never know when your day comes. the stocks and money is all just material. Tell the ones that love you everyday that you love them. To me, that is richer than any green paper. Stay safe gang.

    Comment by dave — November 13, 2015 @ 6:31 pm

  47. Dave- No problem and no hard feelings…….everyone has their own feelings/beliefs…..your DD may be mostly on GGI thus your preference towards it……..when you say it has had trouble breaking .19 all year….do realize that for 2015 DBV only drilled approx. 4 to 6 weeks during the whole year (2 July announced that it was drilling but it started a little earlier and on 8 July the Chris Day blockade PR). Again that’s only approx. a month of drilling in 11 months and only 1.5 holes drilled with no results…..what do you expect in terms of a stock price for a company that has experienced what DBV has? Do you not think that this could be the reason why it “has had trouble to break to .19”???? Lets keep expectation realistic based on the events/factors affecting it.

You say it has had a hard time getting back to .40 mark even with “all those holes they hit”……well, DBV hit .40 in May 2014 based on the rumour that it was going to finally drill deep (1000m+) into what it thought was the heart of the system but unfortunately that never happened and results in May 2014 of 7 holes drilled with no deep holes the stock price went down in disappointment. When you say its had a hard time getting back to .40 with all those holes that they hit….well, since the .40 mark only half a hole was drilled (H23) and announced since then….there hasn’t been any drill results since then so I don’t get why you say it has had a hard time getting to .40 with all those holes hit…..half a hole drilled/announced isn’t much. Yes, we still have a lot of pending holes but we can’t prematurely say that they hit just yet.

For me, GGI right now is only a gut feeling but with extensive DD on DBV, its not a gut feeling and over time non-DBV believers will be proven wrong imo. We obviously weren’t talking to the same Geos….lol.

Hard time breaking .19 all year…..well even with only 4 to 6 weeks of drilling in 11 months, no drill results announced and months of lost time due to a blockade…..I say the year isn’t over yet and .19 will be broken soon.

Oh, remember that it went up to .40 based on rumours of them drilling deep into the system? They’re planning on drilling some very deep holes well beyond 1000m+ at some point and hopefully during this next round of drilling! Dr Razique’s theory has been proven and they now better understand the system which is being modeled off of Red Chris due to many similarities…..when the Dr thinks its time, some deep holes like Red Chris will be drilled and I wouldn’t bet that the Dr’s theory and hole placement will be wrong!

    DD is key!

  48. It’s horrible, Dave, what has occurred in Paris, and like what happened on 9/11 here in North America, it quickly puts things into proper perspective. This was obviously a series of very sophisticated, planned attacks – we don’t yet know exactly who is responsible, but it has all the hallmarks of Islamist terrorism. On that note, I find it very disturbing that Canada is now trying to rush in 25,000 Syrian refugees by Christmas (the Boston Bombers, by the way, entered the U.S. as refugees from Chechnya), while at the same time stopping the air campaign that has helped degrade ISIS, particularly in Iraq. Very strange decisions that go against basic common sense and are even harder to defend tonight.

    Comment by Jon - BMR — November 13, 2015 @ 7:43 pm

  49. Dave, sounds like you’ve trimmed your core position in eqt?

    Comment by Seamus — November 13, 2015 @ 7:47 pm

  50. EQT, DBV, GGI – realistically speaking none of us know what is coming out of the labs on the pending assay results for EQT. Is it possible they hit or missed. We do know this is a high quality team.

GGI, DBV – we know where is a potential for a hit. I don’t care who the geo is, he has no idea good or bad based on pictures.

I own EQT and GGI, haven’t bought DBV yet, traded TRX recently and own a position in KSK.

Dave – I also bought PHM and CGC today and sold at the end of day.

I was buying CXR last week.

    Comment by George — November 13, 2015 @ 7:50 pm

  51. George, you are right that none of us know what the lab results will say for EQT however I think the market has already spoken and thinks the results will be disappointing for the first 4 holes. If the results are really good then EQT will have my utmost admiration for doing an incredible job of keeping a lid on things. I sold most of my position when the share price started to slip, fortunately I was in pretty cheap. It certainly doesn’t mean they won’t hit on their other targets. Hopefully we will know for sure pretty soon. KSK seems like a really low risk play at these prices, have a small position and may add to it.

    Comment by Danny — November 13, 2015 @ 8:07 pm

  52. DDD4 – your post toward DBV is noted. I never stay fixated in mind. If things change with DBV, I will consider it. My decisions are “today” decisions. Once it clears the incline on the 10 year chart we may see sustained momentum. When I got back into trading at the beginning of the year and saw the maps of both, I felt right away that GGI has the goods. If she corrects to my point I will re buy or wait for assays.

Seamus – I have trimmed EQT position to a very little one. You can always hit the buy button again if results are good or the chart improves.

George – CXR is one to watch. Maybe should have held PHM another day or two. Ya, the weed stocks started moving up again, but they are risky in the chart at this point. KSK, cant go wrong there. I think they have a lot going for it for a .02 stock.

    Comment by dave — November 14, 2015 @ 7:06 am

  53. Jon – I just saw where ISIS is claiming responsibility for the Paris attacks, no surprise there. Shocked to here that Canada wants to bring in the refugees. I bet most go to Vancouver, but how would they afford to live there or in Toronto or Montreal. Canada is expensive. My buddy says its $3 a liter for gas, gosh it’s $1.96 a gallon here. I almost choked when he told me what a loaf of bread and a pound of hamburger meat cost. Gosh, you guys have to make it to the millionaire club just to survive.

Atlanta is the most expensive city in the southeast to live. you can make it with $2k a month income. Of coarse if your at $4k your really flying high here. With $4k you can afford a $400k house easy and still have money for vacations. I was forced to retire early due to health at age 59 late last year. My pension is only $1,700 a month, so I need to trade and go green. If I make $500 a month I’m good. This is why I trade gang and not stay in something long term, I can’t afford too.

My house is 1300 sq.ft. – My buddies house in Canada is the same size as mine. I paid $116k and he paid $400k. I can’t imagine what the salaries are like in Canada. I bet anyone making minimum wage up there is probably living in the streets.

I wish to see British Columbia someday, hopefully that day comes.

  55. Yes, Dave, the beautiful West Coast comes with a price tag for sure. Thanks to a carbon tax, we pay more for gas, too. $5.50 a gallon, though that’s less of course after U.S. conversions.

With regard to ISIS, at least one of the terrorists in France had a Syrian passport (ISIS is claiming responsibility). Obama’s “JV team” is now fully engaged in international terrorism. There’s every possibility they have planted terrorists in among the Syrian refugees, as well, yet our new Prime Minister wants to rush in 25,000 of these people by Christmas, in addition to the fact of course that Trudeau wants to end the bombing mission against these thugs who are as bad as Hitler. The #1 responsibility of a Prime Minister or a President is to protect the homeland. ISIS has declared war against the West, and that war didn’t just start yesterday in Paris.

Just 2 days, the new Canadian defence minister told CBC in an interview, “ISIS is a threat, no doubt about that. Should we fear it? No. The Canadian population should have full confidence in all the security services to keep us safe.”

Really? First, I have no confidence in national governments anywhere. Security services have thwarted potential attacks, but we’ve already had ISIS-inspired attacks in this country, including one on Parliament Hill that came dangerously close to killing members of Parliament, perhaps even the Prime Minister. These security services need to be beefed up.

Great reason to be holding Gold given the times we’re in.

  56. Dave- no problem. The size of GGI’s land does attract much attention because it could literally host more than one deposit and this is what initially got me to be a shareholder on more than one occasion. What one must keep in mind is what some of the world’s biggest porphyry deposit foot prints are and one realizes that size of the land isn’t the most important thing as its what on it. A smaller property like the HAT can fit the biggest deposits in the world on it……so land size doesn’t matter…….deposit size/grades do. If GGI is pulling out Red Chris grades or better and they poke holes kms apart on their property and the grades are consistent then the tonnage will add up really fast! You’re like me and feel that if GGI grades are good there will be ample opportunities to get in even if its at much higher prices there will be a lot of money to be made. This is the stance we both seem to have taken with GGI and EQT……show us the grades first. When a junior goes up on speculation and the grades disappoint, it comes down quickly! The goal is to preserve capital and make decisions based on risk/reward.

Now with DBV, if one DD’s it and looks at the story behind it from the beginning with how/when Farshad got the property, the drill results, mistakes made(these work in our favour for now as it doesn’t paint the full picture in terms of potential unless one properly DD’s it ….this allows the few that see it to fully take advantage of it before its apparent to the market….this is why DD is key!), the team that gravitated to the project as Farshad didn’t chase them down to hire them (Patrick McAndless who came out of retirement- see his experience and most importantly Dr Razique- see experience and connection with Antofagasta), the rumoured site visits by majors, the story behind the blockage (hidden agenda, Chris Day’s connection to the drillers and the timing of the blockade), its struggles to finance drilling causing a lot of delays (has been partly alleviated with further drill results) and most importantly the company’s goals and plans going forward one can see just how undervalued DBV is and that they risk/reward is outstanding imo. There’s a lot more but time is limited plus doing one’s own DD is important……they have the right team, the problems of the past that has caused a lot of frustration for shareholders (delays, lack of financing, Chris Day saga, etc) will be a thing of the past now making one excellent buying opportunity right now and one which I took full advantage of!

  58. Jon – interesting post. I am with ya on your beliefs. Ecuador is cheap and without these kinds of problems. I’m sure they have their own inner strife, but nothing like other parts of the world. I talk to expats a lot through an online site and one of my co-workers is living in Ecuador. Right now, can’t leave my daughter. But to think how I can live like a king with my measly pension down there is always on my mind. I have chopped my debt from 55k down to 11k left. Lets see if I can continue picking winning trades to get me out of this mess. Social security just denied me disability this past week. Now, the appeal process. If that fails, federal court hearing which has a 14 month backlog. I could be looking at another 2 years before getting on social. I think that I mentioned that I have Desmin Myopathy in my legs and can barely get up the stairs to my house, thus its for sale. Needs about 3k more in fixin up though. I see people in better shape than me on S.S. Our lovely government at work.

Sorry, don’t mean to get off topic, got a little carried away.

I aim to meet you some day in Vancouver. It’s a dream, lets fulfill it by finding winners that run. Hopefully GGI. One more good 4 bagger and it will change me around for sure.

    Comment by dave — November 14, 2015 @ 8:37 am

  59. Les, I’m as big a fan of the Hat as you, and I’ve actually walked that property. But this is not a competition between DBV and GGI. They are part of the same brand, the same Sheslay district chain – one outlet at the Hat, another at the Grizzly. As a DBV shareholder (I’m one too), you should be rooting big-time for GGI because success in the coming days and weeks at the Grizzly will translate into success for DBV, especially in the eyes of brokers and major investors who want to see a 3rd discovery in the area, and higher grades. To get to back to the drilling stage, nothing would be more helpful for DBV than for GGI to report more success.

When you say GGI just has “pictures”, you’re dead wrong. They’ve given detailed core descriptions. Hole 3, in particular, is a game-changer, with 3 intersections of mineralization over 277 m, 200 m south of hole 1 which was also described. Assays will tell the tale. But they do have an XRF on site (DBV never used one on site). Regoci wouldn’t be as confident as he is if he didn’t know something. And he has Pretium’s senior geologist at his side. He has a superb geological team reviewing the Grizzly (plus Mexico), and of course Farshad has a terrific team as well.

This whole district is pregnant, and has taken many different twists and turns. There’s another twist coming, I can guarantee it. So be at peace with GGI going higher. It will help DBV, and the district will gain a national spotlight on the exploration front.

  60. Jon – do you know if Regotti is planning on building a winter camp. I know they are predicting a warm winter for B.C., but I would think they will still need to winterize. How much more money do they have and how many more holes can they do. Are they planning to send some bulk in mexico to that refinery to get cash so they don’t have to dilute. Ok, be back later today.

    Comment by dave — November 14, 2015 @ 8:54 am

  61. GGI is fully set up at the moment to carry out drilling over the winter, Dave. There is already some snow on the ground (it’s now mid-November) and they’ve already handled conditions as low as -15. But it is expected to be a milder winter than usual in B.C., plus the district is protected by the mountains to the west.

  69. As I explained, DDD4, all posts immediately go into a “pending process”. We had to start this some time ago because of issues that were arising that were threatening to turn this into a Stockhouse-style forum which BMR will not allow.

Our team is extremely busy and tries its best to keep the comments “flow” going as close to real time as possible. In some cases, certain posts that are perhaps much longer simply take a little more time to move from the pending stage. We appreciate your patience and understanding. It’s still early out here on the West Coast and our administrator, who’s working 7 days a week, has just been able to clear everything that came thru last night and this morning, but it’s never always in the exact order of the numbered posts.

  75. Jon I understand your concerns regarding the Syrian refugee crisis but what is the alternative here. 99% of these refugees are innocent civilians including children that are trying to escape Isis and just survive. They are risking death floating across the Mediterranean.. We cannot send them back to Syria and that would be almost a certain death sentence. It is an absolute mess in the Middle East with Isis and I’m not sure what the answer is.

  76. No worries and I can afford to lose all….if my portolio goes down 90% tomorrow I really don’t lose sleep over it. I know many don’t agree with me and think I’m crazy but we will see over time who made the right decision….maybe all Sheslay shareholders will be compensatedrilling equally……my excitement seems premature to some but time will prove if I made the right decision. I’m not doing this to pump the one I own….it’s about helping others make the right decisions so that they too can possibly enjoy financial freedom….are we all here for this?

It’s not a competition between DBV and GGI. For me it’s about making the making the most money while minimizing risk.

    Comment by DDD4 — November 14, 2015 @ 10:22 am

  77. I’m all for saving innocent children and families from a Middle East conflict, Sameer, but two things – we also have to think about the starving children and families in this country, plus of course the inherent security risks that some of these Syrian refugees may represent. ISIS has been badly underestimated from the beginning, and it’s true that they’ve planted terrorists in among the refugees. So rushing in 25,000 of them in 6 weeks is a silly promise to make, and threatens national security. Our Defence Minister said 2 days ago we have “nothing to fear” from ISIS. Oh really? Ask the citizens of France that question right now. On top of that, the Defence Minister and Prime Minister vow to end the bombing of ISIS in Iraq and Syria. Our great friend, France, just gets attacked, and we retreat from a war????? That’s a national disgrace. That’s not the Canada I know.

    Comment by ConcernedCitizen — November 14, 2015 @ 11:37 am

  83. Les, not that it should matter to anyone, but I am modestly overweight at the moment in GGI vs. DBV, but both are moving higher IMHO. I’ve been on the Hat, I can sense something much bigger than what has been defined to date, which is already very substantial. John holds a share position in GGI at the moment, though not DBV, but given his technical expertise I’m sure he’s examining the DBV chart this weekend with great interest.

I am looking at the bigger picture of this prolific district and how the success of one company is going to benefit the other, and vice-versa. Majors want to see multiple deposits along the Sheslay Corridor and a higher-grade starter area, so a new GGI discovery will add considerable value to DBV and all players in the district. GGI does have the added bonus of Mexico going for it which undeniably helped the company immensely when the Sheslay district cooled off temporarily beginning in mid-May 2014, so that diversification (and 1-2 punch) is very beneficial and potentially hugely powerful.

Fresh discoveries attract a lot of attention, especially in the early stages (like with DBV) because of speculation and blue sky possibilities. Those are factors that will drive GGI. Do I believe they have a discovery, based on an overwhelming amount of evidence (district signatures plus what has been reported so far from these holes, short of assays)? Yes. And it’s likely not only copper porphyry.

    Comment by Jon - BMR — November 14, 2015 @ 12:07 pm

  84. DDD4 – gosh, don’t disappear. I for one really enjoy your posts regardless of whether or not I own DBV or GGI. As for Ecuador, I have been keeping up with real estate there since 2007. You can get a 2 bedroom condo oceanfront 20 miles north of salines for $25,000, they were $17,000 back in 2007.

I can’t afford to lose but still must play. This is why I am so careful in my decisions and will trade rather than hold. I need monthly money just for food and gas. Please understand DDD4 my situation is much different than anyone else on this board. I understand why you are in DBV and support it, but time rides against me as I need monthly winners. when my debt is gone and I build the money up, that all changes.

BMR has been leaning toward SH a little just this last week. It does appear to be somewhat of a competition between the 2 stocks and it should not be. they both could do very well. It is great for everyone to have their opinion on each one and be able to share them equally.

I am on this site because it is not like SH and I consider this site like FAMILY. I look at everyone on this site as family and we are here for a common goal. Being that we all have stocks that we believe in, lets support each other in those decisions. I will start with myself and retract my statement about DBV being “iffy”. I truly hope those who own it do very well. Most, if not all of you can afford to hold long term and this is great. I feel both stocks over the long haul will do great. Lets get back to supporting each other with their views.

Keep it simple. God bless everyone on this board.

  91. One has to wonder about some of the politicians in charge of handling the ISIS situation. Obama declared in an interview just the other day that ISIS had been “contained,” asserting that the terror cell had been stalled in Iraq and Syria. The newly-appointed Canadian Defence Minister said we have “nothing to fear” from ISIS. Then comes one of the worst terror attacks in European history. The fact is that ISIS is organized and financed to the extent that it can inspire and likely coordinate attacks outside their power base in Iraq and Syria. The attacks in Paris could be a game-changer. How it may impact the markets (Gold?) will be interesting to see. Governments are going to have to pour a lot more money into security and beefing up military forces, and we need leaders who can address this terror problem effectively.

wasn’t it you that said they owned some land next to WRR in Nevada? If I remember you were planning a trip there and asked if anyone wanted to join you, with WRR supposedly planning on drilling next week, (believe it when they actually put out an NR) may be a good time to visit, you still own WRR stock, you were very high on it too at one time?

    Comment by Greg — November 14, 2015 @ 2:59 pm

  97. Jeff, I think dave explained in #84 why he trades the way he does. Sometimes you just need to protect your capital and as Dan1 said “don’t fall in love with a stock”. I had a big position in GGI and have trimmed it by half, it’s good to take profits when you can. It’s always easier to do that when you are in early.

    Comment by Danny — November 14, 2015 @ 3:07 pm

  98. Jeff – I SOLD 93% of my EQT holdings. Where did you come up with such a number. I am not sure what the percentage is cause I have never done the math. Why did I sell. Because I bought it at .07 and .11 and I had a triple on the .07’s. I saw it struggling to break thru the .22 and saw the chart looping over to the downside and sold. Yes, I was very high on EQT. Yes, I am still very high on EQT. But I’m not going to sit there and watch my profit erode, profit that I desperately need right now. Again, just as I said about GGI. I would rather buy higher and miss some profit knowing we have a winner than have a “sell on the news”. It is just smart investing. If you bring a stock forth to this board at .05 and we all do terrific DD and say that this is a great stock to be in now. The stock goes up to .20, you essentially picked a winner, no matter what happens after that. If you pick a stock and buy it and it doubles, you picked a winner my friend. Just think how fast you build wealth doubling up your money a few times a year. I still am very high on EQT, but where would I be if I held it down to this point, especially when I saw it starting to get weak. And yes, I did post about the chart looking like it was about to break the triangle pattern. You may have missed the post.

  100. Greg, thank you for the question on WRR. I did post on both counts but way back. It’s easy to miss communication if you don’t read all posts everyday.

    1. I sold WRR a long time ago because of lack of management to get things going. I believe I broke even.

    2. I sold the mining claim in Nevada because of a better deal and situation in California and would love for some retiree to join me someday there. I am limited on what I can do because of my legs that have headed south very fast here. I can barely get up stairs. Yes, all this in one year.

    3. I am very high on WRR property, but they have to get drilling it. I don’t blame Guy for buying it at this level. IF they just get to drilling. I know Guy mentioned it suppose to happen this coming week. Lets see it happen. Look at GSV and NEX (I think thats the symbol) with news out last week. I think WRR is going to surprise the market, but I don’t want to sit on dead money. I hope Guy is right.

  105. Ya, maybe we hit 200.

Don – appreciate your post. The question is, which one runs first. DBV or GGI. That is my real interest.

  107. Greg – just read your post #94. It is a shame for sure. I saw a headline news just the other day where it said America will be at record poverty level very soon. This is exactly what Obama wanted to do, abolish the middle class. We are leaning toward some of the 3rd world countries where you are either rich or very poor. Yes, Atlanta is cheap by U.S. standards, but even that is changing and fast. My sister in Chicago pays more a month just in property taxes than my house payment for everything including homeowners ins. I see people making $100k in Atlanta and they don’t have what they would have had just 5 years earlier. Ecuador anyone?

  108. Dave , this baby needs to be drilled and with the kid having the riot act read to him the drilling is going to go ahead full tilt. The action starts at the hat this week.

  109. Back to this act of war by ISIS against France, which is going to be a defining moment, NATO’s Article 5 requires ALL alliance members to come to the defence of any member that is attacked. Where does Justin Trudeau stand with that? We already know what the Canadian Defence Minister’s position was a couple of days ago: “Canada shouldn’t fear ISIS”. Harjit Sajjan should be immediately turfed. That quote will haunt him forever.

Canadians, and other allied countries around the world, will regret not having Harper at a critical time such as this. He understood the ISIS risk and the real threat of Islamist terrorism, which was one good reason for being slow and cautious with regard to bringing in Syrian refugees.

  110. Dave I believe DBV will take the lead and stay there.
As much bullish talk about DBV here, I still think many have no idea where their share price has the potential to go.
Like many have eluded here, I also think the hinderence’s holding things back with DBV have become a thing of the past and we will get evidence of this next week.
Then it will be full throttle with a break over Christmas.
I’m not worried about DBV running out of cash, I think Farshad has plenty of ways to finance and with him holding 12 million shares you can bet it will be done in as non-dilutive methods as possible.
That in itself is the second best thing about DBV.
    Regards
    PS
There is nothing iffy about DBV

    Comment by Don — November 14, 2015 @ 5:21 pm

  111. Don- your right about non-dilution for DBV. The plan is not to do a PP right now due to a low share price and like always, Farshad will ensure its non-dilutive and not excessive. Never under-estimate Farshad as he’s determined to succeed and when knocked down he comes back fighting! I look forward to seeing how he comes back after the Chris Day Saga is resolved. I hope he will make up for lost time!

I’m done posting for a while……you all know my opinions and good luck in what ever you invest in…..always ensure to do your DD and never take anyone’s posts for granted until they have established as a credible source of info.

For the DBV believers, stay tuned as I think 2016 will provide life changing profits if I’m right…..if I’m wrong then this will be the 1st time that I was wrong when I went all in after extensive DD!

DD is key to make smart profitable decisions!

  112. Interesting comments from Ezra Levant re: The Paris attacks:

“And that’s why I’m going to Paris. Along with a videographer from The Rebel, I’m going to see what a beautiful city, a pillar of Western Civilization, looks like when it’s under siege by radical Islam. And to learn lessons from Paris, before we have to learn them ourselves the hard way in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary — or your home town.

According to authorities, at least two of the Paris terrorists came to Europe amongst the hordes of unscreened Muslim migrants claiming to be “Syrian refugees”. And yet Justin Trudeau stubbornly insists on bringing in 25,000 Muslims from Syria’s war zone in the next month, promising to fly them to Canada even before they’re screened.

So I want to talk to Parisians about the waves of unscreened Muslim men who have streamed into their country first. And I want to talk to the Muslim men themselves — to ask them their candid views on democracy, the west, and terrorism.

In short, I want to have the kind of honest conversation about radical Islam, migration and terrorism that is virtually banished from the mainstream media.

Seriously, last night, as the terrorists were still rampaging, the Globe and Mail’s John Ibbitson publicly declared that this terrorism “must not change our refugee policy”. Is he mad? And the Globe’s Doug Saunders actually attacked anyone who had said “pray for Paris”, calling it a “cruel slogan”.

His morality is so perverted, that he chose to condemn Christians praying for life, rather than Muslims praying for death.

The CBC is even worse. Did you know they actually have a formal editorial policy not to use the word “terrorist”? The say using that word would mean taking sides.

Do you see why I feel I have to go to Paris? Because I know that I just can’t trust a word the mainstream media says about the threat of Muslim terrorism in the west. I have to go to see for myself, to ask questions for myself. And I promise to share what I learn with you, on our independent news network.

Like millions of people, I grieve for the victims of the Paris mass murder. But I also know that it’s not enough to grieve, and put a picture of the Eiffel Tower on my Facebook page and say something like “Je Suis Paris”. It’s not enough.

We need to know the truth about terrorism and the risks of mass Muslim migration. And we need to understand the inevitable logic that if we don’t change the path we’re on, we’re likely to end up where we’re going.

And I fear that will look like Paris.”

    Yours truly,

    Ezra Levant

P.S. I’ll have updates every day for you at Rebel Media. I don’t know exactly what I will see in Paris; but I think it’s fair to say I’ll show you things that you simply won’t find on the other news media. They are too busy excusing terrorism to do their jobs as reporters.

  113. I own both GGI and DBV and do not want to start an argument with anyone, but to the people who are overweight on DBV, can you explain why you think it is such a good investment?

Target A was a blank and Target C disappointed with such poor grades. Target B (Lisle) has a few holes of reasonable grade but they don’t start close to surface.

DBV and GGI IMO are currently in the same position – both hoping that outstanding assay results have grades that are better than anything discovered so far at the Sheslay. The difference is that GGI has drilled 3 holes and DBV has drilled 25. This demonstrates to me that either GGI’s property and/or management and technical team is a better bet than DBV’s.

    Comment by Tom UK — November 14, 2015 @ 7:54 pm

  114. Tom, with regard to the Anomaly “A” target area, it was only drilled to shallow levels and with 5 holes in 2013. Only limited samples were taken. At that point, DBV didn’t have the kind of understanding of the system they do now. Hence, they went back to this general area with drill holes 24 and 25. So Anomaly “A” is still very prospective.

With regard to Anomaly “C”, just a couple of holes were drilled into that target but it appears they weren’t drilled in the right direction or angle. So “A” and “C” are still very much alive. Keep in mind, even Imperial Metals hit a bunch of blanks at Red Chris. It happens in porphyry systems. However, overall, the drill hole success ratio in the Sheslay district has been phenomenal.

DBV needs to hit on a big step-out at the Hat to demonstrate volume and continuity, and I’m confident they can do that. The system is completely wide-open in all directions. They also need to find some higher grades, but the grades have been improving with each round of drilling.

Again, I cannot emphasize enough how important it is for all shareholders of DBV and GGI not to fall into the deadly trap of this competitive game of who has a better property, better management, or a better technical team. The fact of the matter is, Tom, that both DBV and GGI each have great strengths in all three areas. They have a shared interest in each other’s success. Together they are building the Sheslay brand. GGI needs DBV to succeed, and DBV needs GGI to succeed.

What’s exciting about DBV is the company’s great chance to expand a known deposit by a multiple of 5 or 10 x. The Lisle Zone appears to be just the southeastern edge of a much larger system yet to be fully defined.

What’s exciting about GGI is the fact they are in the process of making an entirely new discovery, not to mention the scale of the Grizzly which is nearly 3 x the size of the Hat and the Star combined. In addition, it appears Kaketsa has exclusively impacted Grizzly Central in such a way that this area may indeed host a high-grade gold component in association with a porphyry system. The big boys want to see multiple deposits across the Sheslay Corridor, and a high-grade starter area. Grizzly Central (to the east of where GGI is currently drilling) is also the most logical location in the district for a mineral processing center and tailings’ storage, away from any rivers, lakes or sensitive areas. GGI has Mexico in its favor as well, and also has Teck on its border at Red Lion in addition to the Grizzly.

  115. The problem with the hole 14 and 15 on anomaly C in bad direction like Jon said and with a dip of -45 degree you don’t go deeper than 225 meter and every body knows that grade is good or better after 200 meters !

    Comment by Guy Delisle — November 14, 2015 @ 9:15 pm

  116. Thanks Jon, your comments put a bit of a different perspective on DBV for me. I also recall some months ago that the core samples from target A were being revisited. I guess things will be clearer when we get an update from Farshad regarding outstanding drill results and also any more assay results from target A, if they have been done.

  118. Tomuk, both holes #24 and 25 are back in area A and as soon as Farshad’s crew are back on site , it is my understanding they will re-enter # 24 , 25 and go much deeper .
