TSX Venture Exchange and Gold
Fed “intervention” Friday unnerved some investors and led to the biggest one-day sell-off on Wall Street since June 24 with the Dow finishing nearly 400 points lower. It was also the Dow’s worst weekly performance – a drop of 2.2% – since January.
The Venture slipped modestly Friday in sympathy with the broader markets but still finished the week in slightly positive territory, outperforming the Dow, S&P 500, the NASDAQ and the TSX.
Outperformance vs. the main averages has been a signature of Venture bull markets for the past 15 years, and that’s what we’ve seen throughout 2016.
Don’t be fooled by Fed bafflegab or the mainstream media’s obsession with the possibility of the central bank hiking rates later this month for just the 2nd time in more than a decade – not only is that possibility highly remote in our view, but there’s no need to even fear another hike in the context of the current cycle. Remember, the initial one last December got this powerful Gold and Venture bull market started (please, Janet, we dare you to hike again)!
Stay focused through any volatility on the “Big Picture” and all that’s in a huge basket of opportunity!

Matt – Golden Leaf is run by Don Robertson former ceo of Mars Canada.. my wife worked for that company and if you believe that you bet on the jockey and not the horse then GLF is a good investment.
their earnings are there.. and their manufacturing/edibles will be a good start once the various states approve maryjane including canada…
they arent that well known yet either…

BayHorse “BHS” looking really good as high grade silver production of up to 600,000 oz yr is about to start late Sept early Oct.
They are drilling their Bridging the Gap mine in Idaho’s Silver Valley.

Agree Jeff, the more I investigate BHS the more I like it, great share structure, going into production, high grades, a lot to like.

Danny, check out David Morgan indepth interview with the CEO. In fact he liked the story so much he visited the mine. A follow-up interview will follow soon.
Jon why are you not following the #1 Venture silver play?
Comment by Jeff — September 11, 2016 @ 5:57 pm
Jeff, I listened to the interview twice. I am sold on it, of course there is risk, there is always risk but I bought last week and will buy more this week.

Danny, the only risk I see us if the price of silver collapsed otherwise this imo is a no brainer.
The other mine BGT could have even better grades the the bayhorse mine. There’s a very strong possibility that both will become producing mines! !!!!

Jon, I “overheard” this conversation below re CXO on Stockhouse. Putting on your best Sherlock Holmes deerstalker hat can you please tell me what is going on with this thickening plot re CXO/Adam/ Brent Cook et al here? By the way, Holmes, if I can play the part of “my dear Watson”, what goes with the prospect of CXO being bought out by a major this summer or autumn? Is the game up there for this year Holmes and, if so, what is there to move the CXO share price in the right way? I know,” It all depends on the next drill results, my dear Watson.”
“If Adam said they are finished drilling then I am guessing he is referring to the drilling announced in the press release (assuming you actually talked to him).Brent cook says there is another drill on its way ,then I assume they are going for the 80% this year.Adam cant give anymore info than he said in the news release so we have to assume the rig is for something else .Wait for the news release but my guess is they will run for as long as they can this year.Last I heard they are were drilling on the other side of the hill trying to connect the zone. If it connects and gold runs down hill ,what would you think the possibilities are here? How far does this trench go?”

If Brent Cook says there’s another drill on the way, if he is being quoted correctly, then I would take him at his word, David.
